How to Dipose your Bamboo Toothbrush!

Our bamboo toothbrush handles are biodegradable and can easily be composted in 3 simple steps!

1. Remove the bristles:
Removing the bristles from your bamboo toothbrush is easy. All you need is a pair of pliers or tweezers and a tray or kitchen towel! Simply pull the bristles out from the handle by pulling downwards. TIP: Don't try to pull too many in one go. We also recommend rotating the pliers while tugging downwards.

2. Recycle the bristles:
When the removal is complete, you'll end up with a little pile of loose bristles. These are not compostable (we are currently working towards finding a more eco-friendly alternative for these) and need to be put into a plastic recycling bin. TIP: Put the bristles inside a container or bottle that is also being thrown out. This keeps all the little bristles together and makes it a lot easier to sort and be correctly discarded.
3. Compost the handle:
Disposing of your toothbrush handle is simple. You can dispose it in your local commercial composter, or in your own home composting bin! If you don't have one and you want to give your handle a second life, visit our most recent blog post "8 ways to reuse your eco brush". There are so many useful and cool things you can do!
